The City of Nampa and Idaho Transportation Department published the Amity Avenue Environmental Assessment for public review and comment. The document describes the proposed improvements for Amity Avenue and how they could affect environment.
Recent growth has caused increasing delays and congestion along the one-mile corridor. Improvements will include widening the roadway from two to four lanes between Chestnut Street
and Kings Corner, adding signals at Chicago Street and Powerline Road, and adding sidewalks on both sides of the road.
