Floodplain Information

The City of Nampa participates in the national Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) administered through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The NFIP was created to provide a means for property owners to financially protect themselves from loss due to overland flooding. As part of the City's participation in the NFIP it has adopted ordinances which regulate construction within FEMA identified floodplains. These regulations are meant to reduce the risk of property damage during a flood.
